Meet the Team
Mark Buchs
Mark’s passion for building began at a young age, working alongside his father a master carpenter, woodworker, and mason, and the owner of Buchs Bros Construction. From those early experiences, he developed both the craftsmanship and the entrepreneurial spirit that would define his career.
Over the years, Mark expanded his expertise across multiple disciplines, gaining valuable experience in manufacturing, steel, and welding while serving as a supervisor for Fleetwood Homes. These opportunities deepened his technical knowledge and honed his leadership and business management skills.
Guided by an unwavering commitment to quality and design, Mark returned to his true calling homebuilding. After relocating his family to Georgia, he built and remodeled numerous homes, earning a reputation for precision, creativity, and integrity.
Today, Mark leads MDH Design & Build with the same passion and purpose that inspired his earliest projects. For him, the most meaningful work is creating dream homes for families transformations that reflect the same care, pride, and dedication he brings to his own.
Heather Buchs
Heather Buchs is a builder in every sense of the word of teams, businesses, and dreams. After studying business at Indiana Wesleyan University, she advanced through corporate America, rising from coordinator to multiple executive roles. Her strong work ethic and visionary leadership allowed her to streamline operations and develop high-performing teams at every level.
Bringing that expertise home, Heather now serves as Vice President of MDH Design & Build. While Mark laid the foundation, Heather has elevated the company through her knowledge of finance, operations, marketing, and strategic development. Her focus on structure, innovation, and client experience has helped position MDH as a leader in luxury residential construction.
Driven by her passion for growth and creativity, Heather continues to expand her impact beyond the business world. She is also a licensed Realtor, author, and fitness coach dedicated to empowering others and leading by example. Her ability to balance precision, performance, and purpose defines the MDH experience and the standard of excellence she and Mark uphold together.
Dalton Buchs
From an early age, Dalton shared his father’s passion for building. At just ten years old, he began working alongside Mark on small projects, sparking a lifelong interest in construction and design. That early hands-on experience laid the foundation for a future in the family business.
After graduating early, Dalton joined his father on multiple MDH projects, learning every phase of the construction process. He later accepted a football scholarship to Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama, where he studied business management strengthening his leadership and strategic thinking while competing as a collegiate athlete.
When the pandemic brought him home, Dalton completed his studies online and returned full-time to MDH Design & Build. With a keen eye for design, strong technical skills, and natural leadership, Dalton continues to grow within the company. His goal is to carry the MDH legacy forward, expanding both MDH Design & Build and MDH Foundation Repair with the same craftsmanship, innovation, and integrity that define the family name.
Dylan Buchs
Dylan has proudly followed in the footsteps of his father as well continuing the MDH family legacy of craftsmanship and dedication.
A graduate of Forsyth Central High School and a three-sport athlete, Dylan went on to play college football as a running back for Birmingham-Southern in Alabama while pursuing a degree in business management.
Like his brother, Dylan’s passion for construction began early he started accompanying his father to job sites at just seven years old. Today, he contributes to MDH Builders through hands-on field work, tackling everything from site preparation and equipment operation to carpentry and detailed finishing. His strong analytical skills and commitment to precision make him an invaluable part of the team.
On-site, Dylan plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient operations and ensuring every phase meets MDH’s high standards. With a deep sense of pride in his family’s craft, he looks forward to helping grow MDH Builders, MDH Design & Build, and MDH Foundation Repair for years to come.
Haylee Buchs
A creative eye and natural talent for design have made Haylee an integral part of the MDH family legacy. From an early age, she showed a remarkable ability to balance style, function, and detail qualities that quickly set her apart as a designer in the making.
Recognizing her potential, Heather encouraged Haylee to channel her creativity into the family business. Since then, she has grown into a talented designer within MDH Design & Build, contributing her insight and passion to both MDH Construction and MDH Designs.
Haylee’s collaborative spirit and strong communication skills allow her to connect easily with clients, helping them visualize and refine their dream spaces. Dedicated, thoughtful, and inspired by her family’s craftsmanship, she looks forward to carrying the MDH tradition into the next generation.
